Promoted Bible Study- Seamless, Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story by Angie Smith
Did you know the entire Bible was written by 40 authors over 1,600 years? That’s mind blowing. It’s incredible that those 66 books tell one vast interconnected story straight from God himself – from creation to the “end times.” And He filled the pages with broken, messy people that He USED to achieve His PURPOSES…shouldn’t that give us hope that we’re not too far-gone for God to use us too? It DOES me.
Are you a new Christian, a seasoned one, or maybe somewhere in between? Would you like to have a deeper understanding of how the stories in scripture all fit together? Or, as Bible study author Angie Smith puts it, “maybe you understand it from an academic perspective, but you can’t quite get your heart to care.” Maybe you just feel behind in learning the Bible – I have been there…and I still am!
SEAMLESS, Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story (by Smith) is a 7-session Bible study that weaves the Bible together from beginning to end in a very understandable, relatable way. Her goal is that we better understand the “one seamless story about the God who made us, loves us, redeems us, and has a future for us.”
I can tell you I GOT SO MUCH OUT OF THIS STUDY and even ordered the teen version later on and had my daughter join me for my second go-round (I had to twist her arm to get her to follow along – you know how challenging teenage girls can be!). I wanted to share this with you because I know how much easier it is to get engaged in God’s Word when we are growing in our confidence of what it all actually means. Our goal should be to establish a great life-long habit of studying God’s Word, and in essence, hearing from God regarding His will for our lives (since one of the main ways he communicates with us today is through the reading of His Word!) This can change the trajectory of our lives and the lives of our children and other family members forever…THIS IS BIG!
